This narrative was slightly harder for me to illustrate in a creative way so I thought perhaps a panel piece including aspects of lavender throughout would be a suitable approach, using a colour palette that communicates the theme clearly.

The feedback I received at this stage was positive although it was thought that being more bold with the lavender aspect would really drive it through the piece. From this feedback, I have altered my drawing and added strands of lavender into the portrait.
Adding this extra element of lavender to the piece definitely brings the scent of lavender through stronger than before, hopefully I have captured the essence of a lavender garden successfully. I also included the original handwritten response from the survey at the beginning to add a personal touch to the whole piece.
