"How to Identify a Witch" Final Outcome - book mock up
I have collated my mono prints alongside some informative text about the many ways to identify a witch in medieval times, highlighting the abhorrent and absurd behaviour of this era.
If I were to print this book it would be 8×10” with a hardback cover. Perhaps with parchment paper or cotton rag paper because I think that a natural, coarse paper would pair well with this and reflect the witch-hunter’s guides and handbooks from that era. I hope that my web mock-up accurately portrays my intentions.
I enjoyed working on this project and I am pleased with my final outcome, I think the illustrations work well with my chosen topic and the theme is consistent throughout the book.
However, I got overwhelmed with the research aspect and in hindsight I should have split my time more efficiently to allow myself space to experiment more with different creative approaches such as simple woodblock printing or stamps within the project.

Below is the flip-book I've created for this project.
